  1. Any user can download and install the Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client but only users with the VPN role can connect to the VPN and access their Organization's cloud resources.

Content / Solution:

  1. Download and Install Cisco AnyConnect

    1. Before making your first VPN connection, it is recommended that you download and install the version of AnyConnect that is current to the relevant VPN. This can be done easily by first identifying a VPN link to which you would like to connect (How to Establish a Secure VPN Connection to Access your Cloud Network and Servers) and accessing this link in your web browser.

    2. The VPN endpoint will prompt for login credentials. Enter your CloudControl username and password and press 'Login':

    3. After login, the system will display a web page where you can download the latest supported version of the VPN Client. The appearance of this dialog may vary depending on your operating system. Click 'AnyConnect VPN' to download the client:

      Note: You must click the AnyConnect VPN link to download the client.

    4. The Cisco VPN Client will now download and install on your local machine:

    5. When the client has finished downloading, install the client by opening the file and following the on-screen prompts.

  2. When installation is complete on your computer, open Cisco AnyConnect.

  3. You will be prompted to connect to a VPN.
